Split solar hot water heater system is working by main three parts hot water tank, solar collector and workstation.It is closed-loop system. Solar collector generates heat power by absorbing solar energy. It is generator of system. The storage tank plays a role of heat storage. The workstation is the brain of solar water heater. The circulation pump pushes the solar collector to storage tank when the temperature difference between solar collector and storage tank reaches the setting valve.
In short concluded, there are three working systems which are divided by tank design:
One: Tank without coil. Circulation media is water from tank. Solar collector and tank directly exchanges heat by circulation water between them. It is easy and economic solution.Please note: if the solar collector is flat panel type,it can only work under hot place for anti-freeze purpose of this situation.
Two: tank with one copper coil, this coil is the heat exchanger for solar collector to conduct the heat to storage tank. The circulation fluid adopts anti-freeze glycol.
Three: tank with two copper coils: one for collector and tank circulation, other one for heating equipment or space heating (such as connect to gas/electric boiler, and for floor heating system). Solar circulation also request fluid as heat exchanger media.
